b. 1962 CE in southern Indiana. Farm/country childhood. A.S. degree in Exhibits, an intern and then full-time Exhibit Preparator at The J. Paul Gettty Museum in Malibu, CA. Ten years there, then the Northridge earthquake (1994) created opportunity to launch Exhibit Safety - an art installation/earthquake mitigation service. Scott and spouse soon decide to leave L.A. - buy a house in Astoria, Oregon in 2001. One year as Executive Director of Clatsop County Historical Society. Back to L.A., a year as preparator at The Lowe Gallery in Santa Monica, then back to school at Antioch University Los Angeles for a B.A. degree in Liberal Arts w/ an emphasis in creative writing. Currently president of AVA and member of the Astoria CERT team. |
